As part of the Jaguar Commitment to Access, Excellence, and Innovation, San José City College made free loaner textbooks and materials available to students taking courses needed to complete some key general education requirements.
The pilot program provided 800 students taking Math 63/X with textbooks and graphing calculators. Students enrolled in English 1A and 120 were loaned 600 books. The book loans are aimed at reducing textbook purchases and rentals that often impede a student’s ability to succeed in the classroom, and to improve the chances of transfer to four-year universities.

Woo! Thank you for this project! Not having to buy textbooks helped me out a lot
