For the second week in a row, the San Jos\u00e9 City College Jaguars scored a convincing win (38-20<\/strong>)<\/a> on the road, this time over the Los Medanos Mustangs in Pittsburg.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first quarter began with San Jos\u00e9 taking control of the game. Jesse R. Lajes of SJCC made an impressive 5-yard run into the end zone, giving his team an early lead. The extra point by Matt Mirton was successful, and San Jos\u00e9 took a 7-0 lead. The SJCC offense continued to dominate, and Trent Cousens connected with Lajes for a 10-yard touchdown pass. Owen Lagos made the extra point, extending San Jos\u00e9’s lead to 14-0.<\/p>\n\n\n

In the second quarter, Los Medanos finally found their rhythm. Marques Singleton returned a punt for an incredible 56-yard touchdown, putting LMC on the scoreboard. However, their two-point conversion attempt failed, leaving the score at 14-6. San Jos\u00e9 quickly retaliated with a 9-yard touchdown pass from Cousens to Anthony Jones. Roland Legaspi’s extra point was good, and SJCC increased their lead to 21-6.

The third quarter saw San Jos\u00e9 continue their offensive dominance. Cousens connected with Legaspi for a 6-yard touchdown pass, and Mirton’s extra point was successful, pushing SJCC’s lead to 28-6. Los Medanos fought back, with De’ovion Hill scoring a 2-yard rushing touchdown. Octavio Santero made the extra point, reducing the deficit to 28-13.

Entering the final quarter, San Jos\u00e9 remained in control. Cousens connected with Zion Owens for a 12-yard touchdown pass, and Lagos’ extra point was good. SJCC extended their lead to 35-13. Mirton added a 22-yard field goal to the scoreboard, giving San Jos\u00e9 a comfortable 38-13 advantage. Los Medanos managed to score one last touchdown, with Brenden Bush finding Singleton for a 5-yard pass. Santero made the extra point, making the final score 38-20.\u00a0

The game showcased the offensive prowess of San Jos\u00e9, with Cousens leading the team with four touchdown passes. Lajes and Jones were key targets for Cousens, each contributing a touchdown reception. The SJCC defense also played a vital role in their victory, limiting Los Medanos to only 20 points.
