San José City College went 3–0 at the Tipoff Tournament at Percy Carr Gym, defeating Palo Verde, Lassen, and Feather River behind balanced scoring, strong defense, and key bench contributions. Ryan Baker, Langston Boyd, Muhammad Singleton, and Jeremiah Butler led a deep rotation as the Jaguars improved to 2–1 on the season.

Sacramento City stunned San José City 31-27 at Hughes Stadium as QB Jason Wilson scored the game-winning 1-yard TD run with 22 seconds left. Cedeno Chavez threw for 254 yards and 2 TDs for the Jaguars, but the Panthers’ big plays and late drive sealed the victory.

San José City Opens Season With 39-19 Victory Over Shasta

San José City College opened its season with a 39-19 win over Shasta on Saturday at Jaguar Stadium. The Jaguars scored twice on fumble returns and built a 36-6 halftime lead. Quarterback Cedeno Chavez threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, while Shasta’s Andrew Brown rushed for two scores.
