Established through a U.S. Department of Education Title V grant, the METAS Center serves as a Latinx/e Resource Center at San José City College, providing a welcoming environment and holistic support to students.

Its mission is to guide students through college by offering academic counseling, peer-led team learning, supplemental instruction, and programs like Summer Bridge to foster academic excellence and personal growth.
The quinceañera celebration commemorated the center’s 15 years of service and underscored its role in empowering students and promoting cultural pride. The METAS Center continues to be a cornerstone for community engagement and student achievement at SJCC.
