We hope you had a great summer. As you saw from the first week of school, San Jose City College is off to a roaring start. We have renewed energy on campus thanks to the Jaguar Commitment to Access, Excellence, and Innovation.
A big part of the Jag Commitment was the initiative to give each student $5 vouchers to use for meals during the first week of school. We’re happy to announce that students enjoyed 4,571 meals in our cafeterias and cafes.
The Roar has a brand new events calendar so you can stay up to date on all of the happenings on campus. If you have an on-campus event that we can add, give us the details.
And did we mention we are an award-winning newsletter? The Roar received the Community College Public Relations Organization (CCPRO) Silver Award (second place) for Best Online Newsletter in the state!
In the meantime, check out some of the stories we are featuring this week.
