To help ensure that your bike stays where it belongs, here are some anti-theft tips from campus police;
- Use the appropriate type of lock that can’t easily be broken into or destroyed
- Lock your bike to a proper bike rack and secure it in the best way possible
- Do not leave your bike on campus for an extended period of time
- Make sure you have a photo of, and the serial number of your bike, in case it does get stolen
Thankfully, if you are in need of a more sophisticated bike lock, Bicycle Express (located in Downtown SJ) is offering a 20% off discount on bike locks solely for San Jose City College students. Show your student ID if you decide to make a purchase.
