The San José – Evergreen Community College District (SJECCD) board of trustees appointed a new chancellor during its November meeting, unanimously selecting Dr. Byron D. Clift Breland for the position. He has been serving in the role in an interim capacity since July 2018. Previously, Dr. Breland served as president of San José City College.
